You did it West Point and Clay County.
We will have our share of photo opportunities in the coming months that should include politicians and economic developers breaking ground, shovels in hands, with industry executives.
December 8, 1993, then President William Jefferson Clinton signed into law the document that nearly brought the United States economy to its knees. The North American Free Trade Agreement. This piece of paper opened our doors to cheap, overseas goods that donât have to pass the rigorous testing processes or meet standards set in the U.S. to make sure the things we buy are safe. Owners of manufacturing facilities only saw that they would not have to deal with unions, striking workers or even pay their workers a minimum wage. They could make billions instead of millions!
Little Bit is an approximately 2 year old female terrier/chihuahua mix. She is scheduled to be spayed in May. She has started her shots and has been wormed. She is a small dog, approximately 10 â 12 lbs. Little Bit is very energetic and playful, not a lap dog. If you would like to foster any of the dogs or puppies for the Homeward Bound Transport, or would like to adopt a kitten, puppy or adult dog, come by the West Point/Clay County Animal Shelter Tuesday-Friday 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. Saturday 10 a.m. - noon, or call 524-4430. I was all hyped up to gush about last weekâs Super Bulldawg Weekend and the Cotton District Arts Festival which delivered a picture perfect weekend. We got to tour the new Mississippi State football complex which includes a weight room par excellence. Itâs got to be the finest facility of its type in the country, and I donât know how any football recruit could resist gobbling up a scholarship to play with the Dawgs.
Chocolate and peanut butter - does a more perfect combination exist?
My boyfriendâs birthday was this weekend and when I asked what kind of cake he wanted, he said âI donât care, whatever,â which I understood as âChocolate and peanut butter!â
Cedric and Charlotte Hamilton and Finis Matthews Jr., of West Point, are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Monique K. Matthews, to Shedrick D. Bradshaw, son of Dianna Carr and Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Bradshaw of West Point.
I was thinking some more about taking pictures of our children especially when they are babies. There is nothing they can do that you donât think is amazing. When they first arrive, you are overcome with delight at every breath this tiny little person takes. You feel you must chronicle their every minute and every movement. So you do. Little knowing that you are not only taking photos that you and your family can go back through and remember, you are building up blackmail for when they start dating. Oh yeah!!
During one of the many semesters I was in college, I fell into a crowd of musicians.
Without any musical talent to speak of, I guess I became an honorary member of all of the garage bands that were being formed out of this group.
They were all members of a nearly defunct musical fraternity that was desperate for membership.
