December 8, 1993, then President William Jefferson Clinton signed into law the document that nearly brought the United States economy to its knees. The North American Free Trade Agreement. This piece of paper opened our doors to cheap, overseas goods that don’t have to pass the rigorous testing processes or meet standards set in the U.S. to make sure the things we buy are safe. Little Bit is an approximately 2 year old female terrier/chihuahua mix. She is scheduled to be spayed in May. She has started her shots and has been wormed. She is a small dog, approximately 10 – 12 lbs. Little Bit is very energetic and playful, not a lap dog. If you would like to foster any of the dogs or puppies for the Homeward Bound Transport, or would like to adopt a kitten, puppy or adult dog, come by the West Point/Clay County Animal Shelter Tuesday-Friday 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. Saturday 10 a.m. - noon, or call 524-4430. It’s got to be the finest facility of its type in the country, and I don’t know how any football recruit could resist gobbling up a scholarship to play with the Dawgs.
