The Oak Hill Academy Raiders (2-5; 1-0) had a rough start to the 2009 season, but there is a good chance that they will have rebounded themselves into a playoff spot, if they can defeat the 0-6 Manchester Mavericks tonight, on the road.
“It’s the most important game of the year for us,” said Oak Hill head coach Leroy Gregg earlier this week.
Gregg went on to say that the implications of a win tonight would be a playoff spot for the Raiders, who started the 2010 season 0-4.

Things have been slow in the early going for the Hebron Christian Eagles (1-5; 0-1)
Last week, the Eagles got their first taste of district play against Central Holmes, but it resulted in a 32-20 loss for the Eagles, on the road.
This week, the team gets a break from division play, as they hit the road and get ready to play the Rebels of Carroll Academy.
Hebron lost the first two games of season, getting out-scored 80-8 in those two games.

With the high school football season more than half over, conference play is bringing a playoff atmosphere to the air in every ball game.
The Oak Hill Academy Raiders (2-5; 1-0) are no exception this high intensity football that fans will see as the season rounds out over the next month.
This week’s match for Oak Hill is by far the most important one since their first conference game against Carroll, which they won. A second district win against Manchester (0-6;0-1) on Friday night would spell November football for the Raiders.

The Hebron Christian Eagles (1-5; 0-1) did not get off to a great start in conference play last Friday night at Central Holmes.
They Trojans pulled away in the second half to defeat Hebron 32-20.
This week, the Eagles will be on the road again, but unlike their game with the Trojans, they will not be facing a conference opponent.
They will be heading to the Delta to take on the Carroll Academy Rebels.
The Raiders have had an up and down season in 2010, winning two in a row after a week one loss.
