Pet of the week

April 24, 2013

Little Bit is an approximately 2 year old female terrier/chihuahua mix. She is scheduled to be spayed in May. She has started her shots and has been wormed. She is a small dog, approximately 10 – 12 lbs. Little Bit is very energetic and playful, not a lap dog. If you would like to foster any of the dogs or puppies for the Homeward Bound Transport, or would like to adopt a kitten, puppy or adult dog, come by the West Point/Clay County Animal Shelter Tuesday-Friday 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. Saturday 10 a.m. - noon, or call 524-4430. Emily Jones: Life can turn on a dime-or is it a dollar?

April 24, 2013

I was all hyped up to gush about last week’s Super Bulldawg Weekend and the Cotton District Arts Festival which delivered a picture perfect weekend. We got to tour the new Mississippi State football complex which includes a weight room par excellence. It’s got to be the finest facility of its type in the country, and I don’t know how any football recruit could resist gobbling up a scholarship to play with the Dawgs.
