Baylor wishes they could have Easter Sunday back. Just hours after their Louisville male counterparts manhandled the Duke Blue Devils on Easter Sunday to advance to the Men’s Final Four, the Louisville women continued their March Madness journey in attempting to do the same, by defeating the #1 ranked Baylor Bears, 82-81, in what many are calling the greatest upset in college women’s basketball history. Baylor’s star phenom Brittney Griner saw her stellar college career come to a resounding halt, in what was a game she will not soon forget.
April 1st

A good, clean baseball game took place at Bill Ayers Field as Oak Hill and Hebron Christian hit the diamond in a intra-Clay County baseball game Friday.

Sometimes you just don’t realize what you have until all the dust has cleared.Â
For Hebron Christian sophomore Drew Myatt, he was completely unaware of how strong his outing on the mound was Thursday afternoon. Five shutout innings and no hits gave Myatt a no-no and helped elevate the Hebron Eagles over Central Academy 10-0 in Pheba.

Friday night, the West Point Green Wave played host to the New Hope Trojans at Taylor Park. In game two of the three game series, New Hope used 5 runs on 8 hits and 4 errors to defeat West Point 5-1. The Wave only had two hits against the Trojans with seniors Freddie Reed and Bradley Ewings collecting the hits. Taking the loss for West Point on the mound was senior right-hander Tez Lane going six and one-third innings with 11 strikeouts while allowing five runs, only one was earned. West Point will return to the diamond Tuesday in Oxford against district 2-5A foe, the Oxford Chargers.
