STARKVILLE — Demarcus Henderson had a paper due at midnight.
The Mississippi State senior outfielder made sure he had enough time to perfect it and turn it in on time.
Henderson had a walk-off single to score Zack Randolph from second base as the No. 16 Bulldogs beat Southeast Missouri 3-2 Tuesday night at Dudy Noble Field.
"I really didn't think he was going to score, but when (the outfielder) booted it, I was kind of happy because that gave him a little more time," Henderson said.
Henderson finished the night with two hits.
