PHEBA — In basketball, a team can have a rhythm or not.
According to Hebron Christian Head Coach Bruce Franks, his Lady Eagles are still trying to find a team rhythm, but some of the individuals on the team are right in form.
Holly Hudson is one of those players.
Hudson, a sophomore, recorded a double-double as Hebron salvaged a 52-49 win over the Winona Christian Lady Stars in a non-district game Monday night at Hebron Christian School.

PHEBA — With Hebron Christian’s Landon Hill out of the starting lineup with the flu, the Eagles needed someone to step up and fill the void.
Clay Faulkner made up for that missing frontcourt piece.
Faulkner scored 27 points, and the Eagles dispatched the Winona Christian Stars, 56-37, in a MAIS non-district game Monday night at Hebron Christian School.
“We had good ball movement and made several shots outside (the paint),” Faulkner said. “After I made the first basket, I started feeling it. We knew we had to make up for Landon (Hill).”

Whenever Dashmond Daniel, head coach of the West Point Lady Wave basketball team, has an “open gym session” during the offseason, he definitively knows that one of his players will be there.
With the motivation to improve her game, this player is only a junior, but Qiayon Bailey displays an instinctual ability to lead for the West Point girls’ basketball team.

The game plan is relatively simple for the Noxubee County Lady Tigers with a 6-foot-4 center under the basket. They only have to pass her the basketball.
And that game plan is exactly what the Lady Tigers have adhered to all season.
Idralien Williams, that 6-foot-4 center, scored 22 points and pulled down 21 rebounds as Noxubee remained perfect through 10 games with a 56-41 victory over the West Point Lady Wave Tuesday night at West Point High School.

Dason Thomas caught the inbound pass out of a West Point Green Wave timeout as the final 10 seconds rolled off the clock. The senior point guard waited for the play to develop against the Noxubee County Tigers’ defense.
It never did, but he saw another way to make something positive happen to break the deadlock. Thomas took the opportunity to drive toward the basket as he drew a foul, putting the Wave into the double bonus and Thomas at the free-throw line.

Dallas (9-4) 41

Chicago (5-8) 28

Dallas was able to use an early second half turnover to score a 24 yard touchdown pass from Tony Romo to Cole Beasley. They used great field position to tack on 2 more touchdowns before the end of the 3rd quarter to make the score 35-7. Chicago made the game somewhat close thanks to a 21 point fourth quarter of their own, but it was too little, too late.

BALDWYN – The Baldwyn Bearcats never trailed for all four quarters, but it might have been too close for comfort as the West Point Green Wave made a late push.
The Bearcats, who’s lead was never more than 10, were carried behind Felix Hayes’ double-double and a near perfect free-throw performance by Conner McKay as they remained perfect through their first six games of the season, dispatching West Point (3-4), 57-47, in the Doc Vandiver Classic Saturday at Baldwyn High School.
