West Point native Ford finds home at Mississippi College

Only two years removed from West Point Green Wave Basketball and Lakin Ford has found a home at Mississippi College.
A 6’5” 190 pound junior forward for the Choctaws, Ford recorded a double-double against Schreiner University. Ford scored 13 points and pulled down 11 rebounds in 35 minutes of play during the Thursday, January 3rd contest as the Choctaws went on to victory over the Mountaineers 78-60.

Lady Eagles fall to Kemper Academy 46-44

The Lady Eagles traveled to De Kalb, taking on the Lady Rams of Kemper Academy. In their third district game, the girls of Hebron Christian were hoping to pick up their first district win after two losses to Winona Christian and Calhoun Academy.

The Eagles took an undefeated record on the road for their third district game against Kemper Academy. Hebron and Kemper are big rivals and the action on the floor proved no different.
A sluggish first half proved to not be a problem for the Eagles as Hebron entered the halftime interval up 20-18. In the second half, Hebron used a third quarter 13-0 run to pull away from the Rams, going on to win 53-36.
