The second week of Hebron Christian School’s football season took them out of Clay County to Coleman Robertson Field in Columbus, Mississippi facing host Victory Christian Academy.
The Hebron Eagles entered this Friday night face-off after defeating their week one opponent, Strider Academy, while Victory Christian Academy entered the game after a loss to the hands of Clinton Christian Academy. The players and fans of Oak Hill Academy could not have asked for more perfect conditions during Friday’s game against Winston Academy. An almost cloudless sky, 88 degrees and no wind. The stands were a sea of red as the Oak Hill fans wore their Raiders t-shirts with “We Believe” emblazoned on the back.

Anyone who drove the two-plus hour drive to Batesville on Saturday night, listened to the West Point vs. South Panola game on the radio or watched the stream on the internet, got their money's worth.
The 12-10 win by the Tigers over West Point will be one talked about for a long time.
"I knew what these guys were going up against tonight," West Point head coach Chris Chambless said of his team after the game. "South Panola's defensive line is one of the best in the state."

Austin Foster scored the first of three touchdowns for the Hebron Christian Eagles on Friday night, making it a victorious opening week for the 2012 footballs season. Hebron dropped Strider Academy 20-6.
“The team played very well tonight and I am very proud of them,” said Hebron head coach David Foster after the game. “It was extremely hot out tonight and these guys just kept playing. We had few mistakes in first half because we should have been up by two touchdowns at halftime.”

The last time the Oak Hill Academy Raiders won in their opening week was in 2006, a 19-0 win over Lamar.
Six years and a number of head coaches later, and the Raiders 1-0 once again.
More important to the Raiders, Friday night’s 13-6 non-conference win over Newton County Academy put them back in the win column for the first time since 2010. The Raiders did not win a game in 2011.
For head coach Daniel Merchant, this makes him 1-0 as a skipper.

The Oak Hill Academy Raiders (1-0) put on a display of good old fashioned football fundamentals on Friday night.
Hitting harder and running better than ever, the Raider defense and special teams kept the Newton County Academy Generals penned back for most of the night in a 13-6 week-one win over NCA.
“This team deserves it,” Merchant said. “They have worked hard everyday in practice.”

The 2002 Bryan Packers got together one last time as a team.
In October of that year, the Packers were invited as guests of the American Legion to watch the first two games of the Major League World Series at International Field of Anaheim in California.
Charlie Sheen, Danny Devito, Denise Richards and Kobe Bryant were also in the stands in Anaheim.
