West Point turns eyes to Jackets after second-round win over Titans

November 19, 2012

It was the second round of the 5-A playoffs, and West Point looked spectacular against the Ridgeland Titans.
Everything was hitting on all cylinders as the Wave controlled all three aspects of the game. Offensively and defensively, West Point looked high-caliber and explosive throughout. Along with the special teams play with contribution in the kicking game from Eric Lemus and a kick-off return touchdown by Aeris Williams.
“We hit on all cylinders, we came out and we were ready,” said Quarterback Tez Lane about the Wave’s offense performance.

Student-athlete and honorable citizen, Ed Brown

November 19, 2012

Many people have seen Ed Brown playing on Friday night in the green and white, others have spotted him at church, and many know Ed from his involvement in the classroom. Yet where ever you see Ed Brown, everyone that has encountered him sees he has special abilities.
On the field, Ed is playing his final season for West Point and starting at defensive end. He is impressive to watch; he finds himself in the opponents’ backfield constantly and stirs up trouble for offenses. Brown collected 4 sacks this past Friday night against Ridgeland in the second round playoff game.
