How they went to the pep rallies, putting on their pads, and getting ready for that nightâ€™s game, hitting someone harder than you ever thought you would, and winning ball games and feeling like champions of the world. Many times these memories become tall tales or folklore of yesteryears. Yet there is an occasion where a memory becomes a nightmare. A nightmare that can hurt a person deep, deep in their soul and keep them up late at night if the memory passes through their mind...
In Friday night hoops action, the Lady Eagles were in a big game against Immanuel that came down to the final seconds. Hebron overcame a fourteen point deficit in the fourth quarter and clinched the game when Brooke Ferguson hit the go ahead basket with only four seconds left in the game. Point leaders of the Immanuel game for Hebron Christian were Victoria Ferguson with 16 points and Rebekah Falkner with 14 points.
After Fridayâ€™s win against Immanuel, Coach William Cotton and his Lady Eagles made the first road trip of the season to Starkville Christian.
Hebron Christian hosted Immanuel of Columbus this past Friday. The game was led at halftime by the Eagles, but multiple turnovers by Hebron saw Immanuel take over the game and go on to win 61-41. The scoring column was led by Will Corbin Rogers with 21 points.
