Redus, Facella top swimmers

September 26, 2011

Kelsey Redus and Isabel Facella had another good outing at the pool last week for the Green Wave swimming team.
Redus finished ninth in the girls 50-freestyle while Facella placed in the top 20 for the green and white. Complete times and scores were not available as of press time.
Head coach Stephen Stockton said it looked as though several swimmers were a little tired with it being on Thursday.
“They gave a great effort nonetheless,” he said.

CLEVELAND - Running low on fumes and facing elimination, Hebron Christian’s run at a state softball title came to an end Saturday afternoon after giving up the lone run in a 1-0 loss to Deer Creek Academy in the MAIS Class A North state playoffs.

With the score tied at 0-0 through the seventh inning, Chloe Tapley gave up a single up the middle, in her 19th inning of work as Hebron failed to capitalize on several scoring chances with runners on the bases in the first and fifth innings.
