Already with a win on Friday night, against Columbus, the West Point Diamond Wave baseball team (4-1) returned to the field on Saturday afternoon for a match with Hamilton. The Green Wave won for the second time in as many days in a 6-4 comeback victory.
Following their 6-2 Friday night win, the Green Wave sent Leroy Calvert to the hill on Saturday. Calvert pitched a complete game, throwing seven innings, walking none. He struck out six batters, and only three of the four runs he allowed were earned.
Kicking off their spring season, the Rip Squad 10u baseball team won back to back tournaments. They won the Hansberger Spring Fling in Pontotoc and then the 82 Challenge Spring Fling held in Philadelphia.
