With less than six seconds left to play and West Point down by two, a last ditch three point effort was no good. Louisville got the ball back, but the Green Wave were called for an intentional which sent the Wildcats to the line on their way to the win, 56-52.
It was the third straight loss for the Green Wave.
Louisville is traditionally known for their rebounding and transition game, West Point head coach Brad Cox said his team held them in check.
Another solid defensive performance by Oak Hill led the way for a victory as the Lady Raiders tacked on their ninth of the season, 42-27.
â€śWe made a couple of adjustments in practice (Friday) that we tried and for the most part they did a good job with them,â€ť head coach Stan Hughey said. â€śIt was one of our better games defensively. Offensively, we have a ways to go. Weâ€™re not shooting the ball very well as a team.â€ť
Tori Ellis finished with a team-high 25 points with 11 rebounds while Anna Ready finished with points. Codi Williams contributed with nine rebounds.
