The West Point Green Wave closed out the first half of the 2011-12 season on a sour note.
Tuesday nightâ€™s 50-33 loss at the Ridgeland Holiday tournament to the host Titans, capped off a tough first half for the boys who are currently sitting at 5-9 overall and 1-0 in the district.
Leading 18-17 at the half, West Point struggled offensively early in the third quarter allowing the Titans to get right back in the ball game.

Wilma Davis and Adrianna Billups finished in double figures, but after another slow start, the girls would eventually fall in another heartbreaker 45-42.
Down 13-3 after the first quarter, West Point responded with a 12-point second half effort and trailed at the half, 19-15.
Davis led the girls with 14-points and Billups finished with 10. Taylor McCrary rounded out the top scorers with nine.
