In what head coach Tri Nason described as a complete opposite performance from Mondayâs season opening victory, the Eagles moved to 2-0 with a commanding 56-26 victory over Winston.
âI was really happy that they came out and scored early the way they did,â Nason said. âI think the more we play and get used to what we do, it will just prepare us better for down the road.â
MERIDIAN - With seconds remaining on the clock, and Oak Hill with a one point lead, Lamar hit a 22-footer at the buzzer to steal the win right out of the Raiders hands, 68-66 in the season opener on the road.
âThey broke our hearts there at the end,â head coach Brian Middleton said. âSome things you have to learn.â
With five seconds remaining, Oak Hill had the lead 66-65. Lamar called a timeout to regroup.
âWe had it well defended,â Middleton said. âWe just didnât get the stop when we needed it.â
