Eagles have blue collar mentality

When it comes down to it, Hebron may not blow you out the water on the court, but they’ll definitely give everything they have for four quarters.

The Eagles come into the season with a new head coach and without a star player, yet Tri Nason believes his team has that blue collar work ethic.

West Point’s boys and girls kickoff new season at Ripley jamboree

With the 2011 season just days away, West Point’s boys and girls basketball teams had their first real taste of competition on Saturday when they traveled to Ripley for a preseason jamboree.

It was a chance for both coaches to really see what they had, and both were very impressed.

“I was proud of their effort, they have a lot of heart and character,” girls head basketball coach Murray Woody said. “It took a us a little time to get into a rhythm, but once we settled down and ran the stuff we’ve been practicing and executed, we did a lot better.”
