Monday night was a battle between two district winners. Some of the best girls in single-A ball took to the court against some of the best in AAA hoops, and both teams were from right here in Clay County.
The Hebron Christian Lady Eagles (22-3; 10-0) and the Oak Hill Academy Lady Raiders (19-6; 6-0) both wrapped up their respective districts this weekend, with the two teams going undefeated in league play.

Last Friday night, Zach Bryan’s technical foul late in Oak Hill’s last district game at Manchester, might have been the difference in his team’s three-point loss to the Mavericks. On Monday night, the senior took a shot at redemption, tipping in the winning two-point shot at the buzzer for a 47-46 Raider win over the Hebron Christian Eagles.
As a team, Oak Hill struggled the final three quarters of the game to redeem themselves from a start that was nothing short of dismal against the visiting Eagles.
