It looked like it was going to be a long night. First there were weather delays; then the junior varsity game was scrapped. When Carroll Academy’s Lady Rebels and Oak Hill’s Lady Raiders finally took the field Thursday night in Oak Hill’s first district game, the two teams fought tit for tat for the first two innings.
It was 11 on 11 Friday night. Oak Hill wore the solid dark red jerseys, and Immanuel sported the white and red.
It was the first time since last November that Oak Hill has had the opportunity to stack up against another school’s offense and defense.
Sure there was no kicking or punting, and the coaches were right there on the field with the team, but nobody was holding back in the year’s first scrimmage.
