Two months ago, the position of Ground Supervisor came open at the West Point Parks and Recreation Department. When director James Crowley began his search for the person who would be over the youth sports games, he needed someone dependable and hard working. He found that person in the form of Clyde Hopkins.
Hopkins had been a full-time umpire for Crowley, but he was also known for his dedication while working for the Public Works department as a garbage truck driver.

The Oak Hill Academy Raiders (2-5; 1-0) had a rough start to the 2009 season, but there is a good chance that they will have rebounded themselves into a playoff spot, if they can defeat the 0-6 Manchester Mavericks tonight, on the road.
“It’s the most important game of the year for us,” said Oak Hill head coach Leroy Gregg earlier this week.
Gregg went on to say that the implications of a win tonight would be a playoff spot for the Raiders, who started the 2010 season 0-4.

Hebron lost the first two games of season, getting out-scored 80-8 in those two games.
