Everything the Lady Eagles of Hebron Christian School practiced for came down to the North State Tournament and their 1-0 win against Bayou. The tougher than usual schedule their head coach, Cass Tapley, had arranged, prepared them for the toughest battle of their season.

The West Point Karate School will get to show off some of the local talent, as well as host fighters from across the nation on Saturday night.
The seventh annual Karate Tournament will be held at Union Hall, and it will be an all-day event, starting with the Grappling event at 9 a.m.
That will be followed by the Sharp Tournament at 11 a.m.
At 1 p.m., the sparring tournaments will begin.
“It’s a fun event for kids of all ages,” said Sensei Albert Lee, who said that fighters all the way from North Carolina will be on hand.

The West Point Parks and Recreation got the soccer season off to a good start on Monday night. The season will continue on Thursday, with the 8 and 9 year-olds kicking things off at 6 p.m.. The Yellow Badgers will play the Red Bulls on Field 2. The Silver Vipers will play the Green Machine on Field 3.
