Mrs. Wilma Gray Hooker, age 91, died Friday, March 22, 2013 at North MS Medical Center, West Point, Mississippi.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, March 26, 2013 11:00 a.m. First Baptist Church. Visitation will be Monday, 4:00 until 6 p.m. at Calvert Funeral Home. Burial will follow in West Point Memorial Garden Cemetery. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of arrangements.

Diane Hammond-Davenport age 56, passed away Monday, March 18, 2013, at Oktibbeha County Hospital in Starkville.
Funeral services are Saturday, March 23, 2013, at 3 p.m. from Lake Grove M.B. Church with the Rev. Joe P. Orr officiating.
Visitation is today, Friday, March 22, 2013, from 3 – 6 p.m. at Carter’s Mortuary Services Chapel.
Carter’s Mortuary Services is in charge of arrangements.
Tonishai Shaffer age 30, departed this life Monday, March 18, 2013, at North Mississippi Medical Center in West Point.
Tonishai Shaffer was born September 22, 1982, to Julia Shaffer Vane (step-father the late Walter Vane) and Evern Jefferson.
Funeral services are Saturday, March 23, 2013, at 11 a.m. from Lake Grove M.B. Church in Prairie. Burial will follow in Lake Grove Cemetery.
Tonishia Shaffer worked at McDonald’s in West Point and Aberdeen.

Glenn Edward Smith age 65, passed away Friday, March 15, 2013, at the Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson.
Visitation was Monday, March 18, 2013, from 1 – 2:30 p.m. at St. Marks United Methodist Church on Grants Ferry Rd. in Brandon. with a 2:30 p.m. Memorial Service to follow the visitation at the church.
Joanne Conerly Westbrook age 84, passed away Sunday, March 17, 2013, at North Mississippi Medical Center, in Tupelo.
March 16th
Gerald N. Moore age 79, passed away Thursday, March 14, 2013, at Dugan Memorial Home, in West Point.
He was born September 27, 1934, in Valley Station, Ky., to the late Lillian Vaughn and Walter Moore.
He was at Retired U. S. Marine Master Gunnery Sargeant for 24 ½ years. He attended Montpelier Baptist Church. After retirement he worked in civil service for the U. S. Navy. A Veteran of U. S. Marines having served during Korea and Vietnam. Gerald N. Moore married Mary Powell Moore October 10, 1958, in Buford-Parris Island, S.C.
John Michael “Foots” Vance age 66, passed away Friday, March 15, 2013, at his home, in Pheba.
He was born December 30, 1946, in Houston, to Anna Lloyd Fant Morgan and Lt. Col John Gurney Vance.

Ella Mae Washington age 84, passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2013, at Oktibbeha County Hospital in Starkville.
Funeral services are Saturday, March 16, 2013, at 11 a.m. from First Baptist Pheba Church with the Rev. Ronnie Smith officiating. Burial will follow in First Baptist Pheba Church Cemetery.
Visitation is today, Friday, March 15, 2013, from 3 – 6 p.m. at Carter’s Mortuary Services Chapel.

Nathaniel Neely age 94, passed away Sunday, March 10, 2013, at Community Hospice, Inc. of Verona.
Funeral services are Saturday, March 16, 2013. at noon from Mt. Zion M.B. Church in Van Vleet. Burial will follow in Ross Hill Cemetery.
The body will lie at the church from 11 a.m. until service time for viewing.
