Clarence Wesley Gibbs, age 61, passed away Thursday, Dec. 9, 2010, at Research Hospital in Kansas City, Kan.
Funeral services are Saturday, Dec. 18, 2010, at 2 p.m. from Trio Primitive Baptist Church in West Point, with Elder Barry Huddleston officiating. Burial will follow in Gibbs Cemetery in West Point.
Visitation is today, from 3 – 6 p.m. at Carter's Mortuary Services Chapel.

Funeral services are Monday, Dec. 20, 2010, at 11 a.m. from Union Star M.B. Church, with Pastor Eric D. Ratliff officiating. Burial will follow in Union Star M.B. Church Cemetery.

Rev. George Washington Sr., age 83, passed away Friday, Dec. 10, 2010, at North Mississippi Medical Center in West Point.
Funeral services are Friday, Dec. 17, 2010, at 1 p.m. from Hogan's Chapel A.M.E. Church, with the Rev. Dr. Willie B. Lairy officiating. Burial will follow in Johnson Creek Cemetery in Pheba.

Walter E. Stokes III
Walter E. Stokes III, age 86, passed away Sunday, Dec. 12, 2010, at Washington Care, Greenville, Miss., surrounded by his loving family.
Funeral services for Walter E. Stokes III, are noon, Thursday, Dec. 16, 2010, at Trinity United Methodist Church of Greenville, Miss. Burial is in Greenville Cemetery, under the direction of Boone-Wells Funeral Home, Greenville.

Donna Bingham Barmore
Donna Bingham Barmoe, age 51, passed away Thursday, Dec. 9, 2010, at her residence in Maben, Miss.
She was a volunteer worker for the American Red Cross and an active member of the Double Springs Baptist Church.
Memorial services are Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2010, at 2 p.m. from the Double Springs Baptist Church in Okibbeha County, with burial in the Clear Springs Cemetery at a later date.
Martha B. Williams
Martha B. Williams, age 76, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 8, 2010, at North Mississippi Medical Center in West Point.
Mrs. Williams was born July 2, 1934, to Shelton Brand and Mildred Goodwin Brand in Parchman, Miss. She lived most of her life in Monroe County. Mrs. Williams graduated from Houston High School and Draughn's Business College. She was a self employed therapist, a member of St. John's Episcopal Church and a charter member of the Aberdeen Jr., Women's League.

Robert “Bob” Cooper
Robert “Bob” Cooper, age 75, of Pensacola, Fla., formerly of West Point, passed away Saturday, Nov. 13, 2010. He was born Feb. 20, 1935, to the late George and Cecilia Gosselin Cooper.
Mr. Cooper joined the United States Navy at the age of 17 and retired as a Master Chief Petty Officer after more than 26 years of service. He was a veteran of the Korean and Viet Nam Conflicts. Besides the U.S. Navy, he enjoyed reading, cooking, fishing, playing cards and was a lifelong fan of the New York Yankees.
Annette Stevenson
Annette Stevenson, age 82, passed away Sunday, Dec. 5, 2010, at Dugan Memorial Nursing Home.
Funeral services are Saturday, Dec. 11, 2010, at 2 p.m. from Carter's Mortuary Services Chapel, with the Rev. Charles Haughton officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
