Beverly Jean Morton age 62, passed away Thursday, May 2, 2013, at North Mississippi Medical Center in West Point.
Funeral services are Thursday, May 9, 2013, at 11 a.m. from St. Paul M.B. Church with the Rev. Eddie Longstreet officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
Visitation is today, Wednesday, May 8, 2013, from 3 – 6 p.m. at Carter’s Mortuary Services Chapel.
Carter’s Mortuary Services is in charge of arrangements.
April 24th
John Clifton Gable, 78, passed away, on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at The Sanctuary Hospice House, in Tupelo. John Clifton Gable was born February 13, 1935 in Vardaman, Mississippi to the late Mattie Virginia McCullough and Waites Gable. He was a member of First United Methodist Church. Mr. Gable worked with USF & G Insurance Company for 36 years as an adjuster in Natchez, Greenwood, Greenville, Jackson and the state office in Meridian serving as claims supervisor until his retirement in 1992. He was a graduate of the University of Mississippi.
Bonnye Jo Hagler Kenney age 90, of Huntsville, Ala., passed away Wednesday, October 31, 2012, at home with her family at her bedside.
Mrs. Kenney was a longtime member of Mayfair Church of Christ. Bonnye Kenney graduated from West Point High School in 1941. Her career at Redstone Arsenal began August 7, 1952, and ended with her retirement December 30, 1983. She was Chief of Disbursing Branch, Finance and Accounting Division.
April 23rd
Annie Rene Thomas age 74, passed away Thursday, April 11, 2013, at North Mississippi Medical Center in West Point.
Graveside services are Thursday Morning at 11 a.m. at Greenwood M.B. Church Cemetery located on Hwy. 45 Alternate. Burial will follow.

Mrs. Jean Clardy, Age 58 of West Point, Mississippi, passed away Friday, April 19, 2013 at North MS Medical Center, West Point, MS Funeral Services are incomplete and will be announced later.

Romer S. Carroll, 85, passed away, on Friday, April 19, 2013 at Hermitage Gardens Nursing Home, in Southaven. She was born November 3, 1927 in Clay County Mississippi to the late Myrtle Hodnett and Jesse G. Stafford. Mrs. Carroll was a Customer Service operator for NAPA of Memphis. She was of the Baptist faith. Romer S. Carroll, married Charles Ernest Carroll, Jr. on July 10, 1943, in West Point, MS he preceded her in death on August 22, 2011.

Walter Sykes age 77, passed away Saturday, April 13, 2013, at North Mississippi Medical Center of West Point.
Funeral services are Saturday, April 20, 2013, at St. Matthews Church of God in Christ at 3 p.m.
Visitation is Friday, April 19, 2013, from 7 – 9 p.m. at the Carter Funeral Home Chapel.

Johnnie J. Daniel, Jr., age 65, passed away Thursday, April 11, 2013, at North Mississippi Medical Center in West Point.
Gwendolyn Daniel, age 62, passed away Friday, April 12, 2013 at North Mississippi Medical Center in West Point.
Funeral services are Saturday, April 20, 2013, at 11 a.m. from
Northside Christian Church, with the Rev. Orlando R. Richmond officiating and the Rev. Gene King delivering the eulogy. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
Visitation is today, Friday, April 19, 2013, at Carter Funeral Home from 3 – 6 p.m.

Carey E. Henley, known as “Coach”, age 76, of Chattanooga, Tenn., passed away April 15, 2013 at his home in East Ridge.
He was born in West Point, to the late W.L. (Bud) Henley and Annie Rea Berry Henley.
Bennie Lee Neely Sr., age 58, passed away Friday, April 12, 2013, at University Hospital of Jackson.
Funeral services are Thursday, April 18, 2013, at 11 a.m. from Payne Chapel M.B. Church with the Rev. Edward Dean officiating. Burial will follow in New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation is today, Wednesday, April 17, 2013, from 3 – 6 p.m. at Carter’s Mortuary Services Chapel.
