A memorial service for Verna Lou Ellis Vickers will be conducted Friday, March 15, 2013, at 2 p.m. from Calvert Funeral Home Chapel in West Point.
Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, March 14, 2013, from 5 - 7 p.m. and Friday at 1 p.m. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of arrangements.
Born August 27, 1922, Mrs. Vickers died in Jackson, March 12, 2013.
She was a life-long resident of West Point and Clay County until 2006, when she moved to Madison, to be near her son and his family.
Clarice Ila Trull Boykin age 93, passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2013.
Ila Boykin lived at the North Mississippi Health Services Long Term Care in Eupora.
She was born June 20, 1919, in Clay County. Ila Boykin was a member of Mathiston First Baptist Church and an Eastern Star. She was an avid gardener and loved sharing her bounty with her friends and relatives. Her greatest accomplishment in life was her family, whom she held close to her heart. She will be forever known as the most beautiful, caring and giving person God could create. To know Ila Boykin, was an absolute true blessing.
Earceal Mitchell age 79, passed away Thursday, March 7, 2013, at Dugan Memorial Home in West Point.
Funeral services are Wednesday, March 13, 2013, at 11 a.m. from St. Paul United Methodist Church with Pastor Maggie Little officiating. Burial will follow in North Union Cemetery.
Visitation is today, Tuesday, March 12, 2013, from 3 â 6 p.m. at Carterâs Mortuary Services Chapel.

Anne Franklin Washington, 77, passed away, on Thursday, March 7, 2013 at OCH Regional Medical
Center, in Starkville, Miss.
Anne Franklin Washington was born August 12, 1935 in Cedar Bluff, Mississippi to the late Sarah Louise Anthony and John Luther Franklin. Mrs. Washington was a retired educator teaching 2nd grade at West Side School and South Side School for 32 years.
Anne Franklin Washington was a member of Pheba Baptist Church.Â Anne Franklin Washington married Robert Patrick Washington March 19, 1955, who preceded her in death on November 4, 2002.
Funeral services for Pauline Drane, who passed away Thursday, February 28, 2013, were Saturday, March 2, 2013, at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jeff Shannon officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Robbie Robinson, Ralph Weems, Danny Rainey, Phil McClellan, Bubba Atkins, Hamilton Dickey and Jim Helveston.

Evie Watson, age 104, passed away at her home Monday, March 4, 2013.
Mrs. Watson was born February 28, 1909, to the late Hattie Ophelia Murphy McDougal and Edward Monroe McDougal in Cedar Bluff. She was a homemaker and member of Cedar Bluff Baptist Church. She married Oscar Lee Watson July 3, 1926, and were united for 66 years until his death July 17, 1992.
Funeral services are Wednesday, March 6, 2013, at 2 p.m. at Calvert Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Samuel Burns officiating, assisted by Bro. Todd Chesser. Burial will follow in Cedar Bluff Cumberland Presbyterian
Inez Naugle Caradine, age 81, went on to be with the Lord Monday, March 4, 2013 at her home in the Caradine community.
Donna M. Baker age 76, passed away Wednesday, February 27, 2013, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo.
Donna Marie Lindenberger was born March 11, 1936, in Corry, Penn., to the late Zelma
Thorton and Aloyios Rudolph Lindenberger. She was an assistant to the âSign Artistâ Denver D. Baker for 57 years. She attended Bible Baptist Church. She married Denver Dean Baker October 15, 1952, in Corry, Penn. He preceded her in death February 13, 2010.
Evelyn Prescott Brewer age 74, passed away Thursday, February 28, 2013, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Eupora.
Evelyn Brewer was born April 28, 1938, in Webster County, to the late Iler Beecher Woods and Woodrow Wilson Prescott. Mrs. Brewer was a homemaker and a member of Hope Baptist Church. Funeral services are Sunday, March 3, 2013, at 3 p.m. at Hebron Baptist Church with the Bro. Barry Hathcock officiating. Burial will follow in Hebron Cemetery.
Miss Polly passed away Thursday February 28, 2013, at North Mississippi Medical Center-West Point at the age of 90.
She was born September 25, 1922, in Houston, to the late Agnes Larkin and William Jahugh Mixon. She and her husband owned Drane Hardware in Sturgis. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, and active in United Methodist Women and a member of the Wesley Wasson Sunday School Class. She was a member of the Eastern Star and on the board of Duganâs Memorial Home. She volunteered at the Henry Clay Retirement Home where she was a resident since 1995.
