Willie Mae Booker, age 76, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2014. at North Mississippi Medical Center in West Point.
Funeral services are 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2014, from Strong Hill M.B. Church with Pastor Israel Lee officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation is today, Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2014, from 2 – 6 p.m. at Carter’s Mortuary Services Chapel.
Carter’s Mortuary Services is in charge of arrangements.

James I. Rhea, 84, passed away Feb. 22, 2014, at his home in West Point.

Phyllis B. Holland

February 25, 2014

Phyllis B. Holland age 80, passed away Monday, Feb. 24, 2014, at North Mississippi Medical Center in West Point. Mrs. Holland was born March 5, 1933, in Choctaw County, the daughter of the late Rufus and Vivian Hodges Bowie. She was a Telephone Operator with South Central Bell. She was also the ticket clerk for The Ritz Theatre in West Point. She had also worked in the cafeteria in the West Point School District. She was a member of Salem Methodist Church in Choctaw County. She married Clifton Alton Holland Feb. 23, 1957, and they were married for 57 years.

Evelyn F. Harbison, age 86, passed away Saturday, Feb. 22, 2014, at Waverly Care Home in West Point.

Ralph Martin Coggins Sr.

February 25, 2014

Ralph Martin Coggins Sr., of West Point passed away Monday, Feb. 24, 2014, at NMMC-Tupelo at the age of 69.
He was born April 24, 1944, to the late Mattie Pearl Freshour and Charles Albert Coggins. He was active in outdoor activities, especially hunting and fishing. He was a truck driver for PLI and a member of the coffee club at Tin Lizzie.
