Kim O’Brian Pettit, 72, passed away June 15, 2013, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo.
She was a retired hairdresser and owner of the Hair Pen Salon in Maben. She was preceded in death by her parents, Seisen Kinjo and Uta Watanabe; and first husband, Bud O’Brian.
Florida J. Donald age 75, died Sunday, June 15, 2013, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo.
Funeral services are Thursday, June 20, 2013, at 11 a.m. at Third Mt. Olive M.B. Church with Dr. Charles Davidson officiating. Burial will follow in West Point Memorial Gardens.
Visitation is today, Wednesday, June 19, 2013, from 3-6 p.m. at the Carter’s Mortuary Services Chapel.

Herbert Friesen passed away on Friday June 14, 2013 at North Mississippi Medical Center-Tupelo at the age of 84.

Mattie Sue Moore age 88, died Tuesday, June 11, 2013, at her home in Aberdeen.
Funeral services are Saturday, June 15, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Baptist Grove M.B. Church with Rev. Joseph L. Lampkin officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation is today, Friday, June 14, 2013 from 3-6 p.m. at the Carter’s Mortuary Services Chapel.

Dorothy Reed Felder, 90, passed away, Tuesday, June 11, 2013, at the Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Mandeville, La.
Joe H. Spraggins age 94, died June 6, 2013, at West Point Community Living Center. Funeral services are Friday, June 14, 2013, at 11 a.m. at St. Robertson Baptist Church with Rev. Elbert Lee, officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation is today, Thursday, June 13, 2013, from 3-6 p.m. at Carter’s Mortuary Services Chapel.

Phyllis J. Dreher, 83, passed away, Saturday, June 8, 2013 at Aurora Health and Rehabilitation, in Columbus. Phyllis Jean Dreher was born July 19, 1929, in El Dorado, Arkansas to the late Lena Jane Haynie and Walter Samuel Parks, Sr. She had worked as a Teacher’s Assistant in West Point Public School System and was a member of Faith Lutheran Church of Columbus. Phyllis Jean Parks Dreher married Frederic Nicholas Dreher May 31, 1947, in El Dorado, Ark.

Haven Dillard Wright, 93, a life-long resident of Webster County, left this earthbound life Saturday, June 8, 2013.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Eileen Graves Wright; a daughter, Pamela W. Vedros, of Vicksburg; a son, James B. Wright, of Mantee; a granddaughter, Merrin E. Wright, of Columbus; a sister, Burlene W. Henley, of Mantee; and numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Wiley Wright and Dora Orman Wright; three sisters: Zenie Ellison, Josie Williams and Jimmie Henley; and a grandson, Jarod D. Clark.
