Lois Sharp, age 88, passed away Tuesday, January 8, 2013, at St. Dominic Hospital, in Jackson.
Lois Sharp was born in St. Tammany Parish, La., April 24, 1924, to Rev. Wilson L. Sharp and Mary Fauntleroy Sharp.
She was preceded in death by both parents and sister Nellie Penton, and brother Donald Sharp. She is survived by three sisters: Miriam Elmore of West Point, Mattie R. Chalk of Anniston, Ala., Theda Howell of Raymond.
Lois Sharp retired from the Desoto Company in 1982, after 25 years of service.
Robert F. Cockrell, age 87, passed away Thursday, January 10, 2013, at Dugan Memorial Home in West Point. Robert Franklin Cockrell was born October 4, 1925, in Clay County, to the late Fannie Turnage and Frank Cockrell. He retired from Weyerhaeuser of Jackson in 1986. Robert F. Cockrell was a member of Presbyterian faith. He was a Veteran of the U. S. Navy Hospital as a Corpsman having served during WW II. Robert F. Cockrell married Bonnie Tisdale Cockrell September 10, 1948, in Starkville.

Funeral services are Saturday, January 12, 2013, at 10:30 a.m. from Calvert Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Cairo Cemetery Cairo Community.Â

Robert Lee (Rab) Woodard, passed away Saturday, January 5, 2013, at his home in Houston.
Funeral services are Saturday, January 12. 2013, at 2 p.m. at Centerhill M.B. Church in Houston. Burial will follow in the Palestine Church Cemetery in Van Vleet.
The body will lie at the church from 12:30 p.m. until the hour of the service.

Jean White Terrell, age 88, of Columbus, passed away Monday, December 24, 2012, at Gallatin Health Care in Gallatin, Tenn.
Funeral services were Saturday, December 29, 2012, at 2 p.m. at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Anne Russell Bradley officiating. The interment followed at Friendship Cemetery.
Peggy J. Stafford age 54, passed away Monday, January 7, 2013, at her home in the Mayhew Community of Starkville.
She was born December 17, 1958, in Starkville, to Sarah Lucille Chaffin Watson and the late Thomas Jefferson Watson, Jr. Mrs. Stafford was a cafeteria worker for West Clay Elementary Schools. She was a store clerk and a member of Hebron Baptist Church
Funeral services are Wednesday, January 9, 2013, at 10 a.m. at Calvert Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Byron Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Bluff Cumberland Presbyterian Cemetery.
Sue White Stafford, 78, passed away on Friday, January 4, 2013 at the Carrington Nursing Center in Starkville.
Lillie Sue Boyce Stafford was born August 28, 1934 in Chickasaw County to the late Nancy Bell Huffman and James Rupert Boyce.
Mrs. Stafford worked in the cafeteria at the Clay County Schools for 20 years and was a member of Pheba Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by husbands Charles D. White, William Howard Brand and Bennie E. Stafford.
Ezell Watson, age 58, passed away Wednesday. January 2, 2013, at the Red Bay Hospital in Red Bay, Alabama.
Funeral Services are Monday, January 7, 2013, at 1 p.m. at Third Mt. Olive M.B. Church. Burial will follow in the Gospel Temple Cemetery.
Visitation is today, Sunday, January 6, 2013, from 2 - 4 p.m. at Carter Funeral Home.

Dorothy Jean Kerr age 87, died Friday, January 4, 2013, at her home in West Point.
She was born March 6, 1925, in Jonesboro, Ark,, to the late Lottie Beatrice Johnston Kerr and John Brice Kerr.
Dorothy Jean Kerr was preceded in death by her siblings, Martha Eileen Addkison, Julia Elizabeth Kerr, and John Brice Kerr.
She is survived by her sister, Frances Kerr Botsford of Benton, Ark., seven nieces and nephews and many great and great-great nieces and nephews.
Cleveland Nathanial Jackson, age 93, died Monday, December 31, 2012, at Benchmark Nursing Home in St Charles, Mo., with his family by his side.
Nathanial Jackson was born September 28, 1919, to Grover Cleveland and Mellie Josephine Jackson in Aberdeen. He was married to Eula Lee Arick and she preceded him in death. He had lived in the St. Charles area for 46 years, moving there from Mississippi. After 23 years of working for St. Joseph Health Center, he worked as a landscaper.
