Robert Dale Bowen
Robert Dale Bowen, age 54, passed away Friday, March 30, 2012, at his home in West Point. after an extended illness.
He was born Jan. 7, 1958, to Robert and Jean Bowen in Farmington, N.M. He was a member of Cross Point Church in Starkville.
A celebration service is 11 a.m. today, Tuesday, April 3, 2012, at First Baptist Church in Aberdeen. Pastors Scott Cappleman and Paul Matthews will be officiating. Burial will follow at Oddfellows Cemetery in Aberdeen.
Tisdale Lann Memorial Funeral Home in Aberdeen is in charge of the arrangements.
Carey Brian Tribble
Carey Brian Tribble, age 57, passed away Friday, March 30, 2012, at his home, in Cedar Bluff.
He was an offshore oil worker in the Mississippi Gulf of Mexico. Carey Brian Tribble was born Oct. 1, 1954, in Clay County, to Betty Frances O'Brian Tribble and the late George Williamson Tribble. He was a member of Cedar Bluff Baptist Church.
Memorial Funeral Services are today, Tuesday, April 3, 2012, at 11 a.m. at Calvert Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Todd Chesser. Burial will follow in Cedar Bluff Cumberland Presbyterian Cemetery Cedar Bluff.

Evelyn Lois Searcy, 79, of Jacksonville, Fla., and formerly of Whitier, passed away on Tuesday, March 20, 2012.
She was the daughter of the late Thomas Jasper Carter and Elvie Lois Henderson. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Hilton B. Searcy.

James Mitchell Doss, age 61, passed away Sunday, March 18, 2012, at his home.
James Mitchell Doss was born Sept. 24, 1950, in Houston, to the late Christine Garrett Doss and James D. Doss. He was a Machine Operator/Welder for B & W for 28 years and a member of West Point Pentecostal Church. He was a Veteran of the U. S. Marine Corps, having served during the Vietnam War. James Mitchell Doss married Pamela Buchanan Doss July 2, 1977, in Columbus.

Mary Olema Hankins Poss, age 92, passed away Sunday, March 18, 2012, at Dugan Memorial Home in West Point. Mary Olema Hankins Poss was born Feb. 11, 1920, in Itawamba County/Fulton, to the late Delphia L. Spencer and Melvin Curtis Hankins. She was a secretary for Bryan Foods. She was a member of Siloam Baptist Church. Mary Olema Hankins Poss married Billy Barton Poss Nov. 15, 1947, in Aberdeen, he preceded her in death Sept. 23, 1985.

Dr. Joe K. Stephens, age 80, passed away Friday, March 2, 2012, at Dugan Memorial Home, in West Point.
Dorothy Dean Walters
Dorothy Dean Walters, age 52, passed away March 2, 2012, at her residence, in Saltillo.
Dorothy Dean Walters was born Feb. 9, 1960, in Starkville, to Myrtle Stone O'Rourke and the late Tommie Nation. She was a customer service person and was a member of Enon Baptist Church. Her husband Carl Walters preceded her in death May, 1992.
Funeral services were Sunday, March 4, 2012 at 3 p.m. at Calvert Funeral Home Chapel with the Brother Frank Breaux officiating assisted by Brother Lynn Hughes. Burial followed in Big Springs/Enon Cemetery in Clay County.
