Angelo Butler, age 59, passed away Saturday, Jan. 21, 2012, at North Mississippi Medical Center of Tupelo.
Funeral services are Saturday, Jan. 28, 2012, at 1p.m. from Carter Funeral Home in the J.F. Carter Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in Poole's Cemetery.
Visitation is Saturday, Jan. 28, 2012, from 10 a.m. until service time.

Maxine Hinshaw
Maxine Hinshaw, age 89, passed away, Friday, Jan. 20, 2012, at North Mississippi Medical Center, in West Point. Maxine Ada Hinshaw was born Nov. 14, 1922, in Cass County, Ind., to Cora Alice Pryor and Hobart Lewis. She was a homemaker and a member of First United Methodist Church. Maxine Hinshaw married Allen Eugene Hinshaw Aug. 25, 1938, in Monrovia, Ind., and he preceded her in death Aug. 30, 1987.

Bernaceteen Beauchamp Edwards, age 72, passed away Sunday, Jan. 15, 2012, at her home near Maben.
She was born April 17, 1939, in Attala County to Ruby Lee Adams and Walter Mitchell Beauchamp. Mrs. Edwards was a Nursing Home Aide and a member of Maben Church of God. Bernaceteen Beauchamp Edwards married Bobby Henry Edwards Feb. 6, 1955, in West Point.

Dixie Lucille Jones Brownlee age 87, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2012, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Columbus.
Funeral services are Saturday, Jan. 14, 2012, at 11 a.m. at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, with Dr. Shawn Parker officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Vernon Cemetery. Visitation is Saturday from 9:30 until service time, at the funeral home.
James L. ‘Big Jim’ Walker
James L. ‘Big Jim’ Walker, age 82, of Carthage passed away Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2012, in Jackson.
He was born Dec. 16, 1929, in Cave-in-Rock, Iii., to the late Nina Wigginton and Charles Clarence Walker. He was a tube mill operator for Blazon Flexible Flyer in West Point. He resided in West Point about 40 years then moved to Carthage. He married Melita Mae Shipp Walker who preceded him in death March 8, 1991.

Bertha Lee Brown, age 82, passed away Thursday, Jan. 5, 2012, in St. Louis, Mo.
Funeral services are Saturday, Jan. 14, 2012, at 11 a.m. from Third Mt. Olive M.B. Church, with the Rev. Al Lathan officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
Visitation is today, from 3 – 6 p.m. at Carter's Mortuary Services Chapel.

Elizabeth Clark Ming
Elizabeth Clark Ming, age 88, passed away Monday, Jan. 9, 2012, at the North Mississippi Medical Center of West Point. Mary Elizabeth Clark Ming was born March 2, 1923, in Chickasaw County, to the late Jennie Bell Griffin and David Loyce Berry, She was a homemaker.
Graveside funeral services are Thursday, Jan. 12, 2012, at 10 a.m. in Memorial Garden Cemetery in West Point, with the Rev. Harold Robinson, officiating. Family and friends will gather at the funeral home for procession to the graveside. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of arrangements.
