Hattie M. Brooks
Hattie M. Brooks, age 68, passed away Thursday, Sept. 21, 2012, at North Mississippi Medical Center in West Point.
Funeral services are Friday, Sept. 28, 2012, at 11:30 a.m. from St. Matthew C.O.G.I.C., with the Rev. Dwight Cunningham officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
Visitation is Thursday, Sept. 27, 2012, from 3-6 p.m. at Carter's Mortuary Services Chapel.
Carter's Mortuary Services is in charge of arrangements.

Jimmy Blankenship
James Raymond “Jimmy” Blankenship, age 67, of Columbus, died Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2012, at Baptist Memorial Healthcare – Golden Triangle.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home.
Visitation was Friday, Sept. 21, 2012, from 6 – 8p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home.
Funeral services were Saturday, Sept. 22, 2012, at 2 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Mullins officiating. Interment immediately followed in Davis Cemetery in West Point.
Keyston Amar Avant
Keyston Amar Avant, infant son of Crystal D. Bean and Keon Avant, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2012, at Oktibbeha County Hospital in Starkville.
Graveside services were Friday, Sept. 21, 2012, at 3 p.m. from Johnson Creek Cemetery, with the Rev. Bruce Guyton officiating.
Carter's Mortuary Services was in charge of arrangements.
Michael Ross Montgomery
Michael Ross Montgomery, age 40, passed away Thursday, Sept, 20, 2012, in Starkville. He grew up in Long Beach. He was a landscape designer with Mississippi Gardens and attended Broadmoor Baptist Church, Adaton Baptist Church and New Covenant Church. Michael Ross Montgomery was a graduate of Mississippi State University, with two bachelor degrees; one in Landscape Architecture and the other in Landscape Construction and Management.
Grady Berryhill
Grady Berryhill, age 89, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2012, at North Mississippi Medical Center, in Tupelo.
He was born Aug. 16, 1923, in Monroe County, to the late Susan Head Berryhill and Wilford Franklin Berryhill. Mr. Berryhill was a Mechanic having had worked for Bryan Foods, Bishop Chevrolet, Jameson Ford, TXI and later in his own shop. He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church. Mr. Berryhill was a Veteran of the U. S. Army Air Corps, where he was an Aircraft Mechanic during WW II. Grady Berryhill married Jimmie Dell
Pierce Williams III
Pierce Williams III, passed away Sunday, Sept. 16, 2012, at his home.
Funeral services are Saturday, Sept. 22, 2012, at 11 a.m. from St. Paul M.B. Church, with the Rev. Eddie Longstreet officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
Visitation is today, Friday, Sept. 21, 2012, from 3 – 6 p.m. from Carter's Mortuary Services Chapel.
