Bertha Lee Brown, age 82, passed away Thursday, Jan. 5, 2012, in St. Louis, Mo.
Funeral services are Saturday, Jan. 14, 2012, at 11 a.m. from Third Mt. Olive M.B. Church, with the Rev. Al Lathan officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
Visitation is today, from 3 – 6 p.m. at Carter's Mortuary Services Chapel.
Carter's Mortuary Services is in charge of arrangements.

Natasha Ann Cox, age 32, passed away Friday, Jan. 6, 2012, at her home.
Funeral services are Saturday, Jan. 14, 2012, at 3 p.m. from Northside Christian Church, with the Rev. Orlando Richmond Sr. officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
Visitation is today, from 3 – 6 p.m. at Carter's Mortuary Services Chapel.

Hansel Hill "Squirrel" Simmons, age 69, passed away Monday, Jan.9, 2012, at the North Mississippi Medical Center of Hamilton, Ala.
Elizabeth Clark Ming
Elizabeth Clark Ming, age 88, passed away Monday, Jan. 9, 2012, at the North Mississippi Medical Center of West Point. Mary Elizabeth Clark Ming was born March 2, 1923, in Chickasaw County, to the late Jennie Bell Griffin and David Loyce Berry, She was a homemaker.
Graveside funeral services are Thursday, Jan. 12, 2012, at 10 a.m. in Memorial Garden Cemetery in West Point, with the Rev. Harold Robinson, officiating. Family and friends will gather at the funeral home for procession to the graveside. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of arrangements.
Mary Davis Carothers
Mary Davis Carothers, age 101, passed away Monday Jan. 9, 2012, at her residence. She was born March 13, 1910, in Okolona to the late Mary Carpenter and James Davis. She was a retired school teacher and a member of First United Methodist Church. She was a lifetime member of Jr. Auxiliary and a director for teen town for several years.
Josephine Alesia Johnson
Josephine Alesia Johnson , age 87,passed away Sunday, Jan. 8, 2012, at West Point Community Living Center.
She was born May 15, 1924, in Gallatin, Tenn., to the late Robbie Sullivan and Herman Southern. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Funeral services are today, Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2012, at 1 p.m. at Robinson Chapel, with the Dr. James Towery officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens Cemetery in West Point. Pallbearers are Steven Johnson, Stephen Harpole, Will Harpole, Charlie Dichiara, Leonard Dichiara, Johnathan Edwards.

Louise Starks, age 71, passed away Friday, Jan. 6, 2012, at North Mississippi Medical Center of West Point.
Funeral services are Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2012, at 11 a.m. from Johnson Creek M.B. Church of Pheba, with Pastor Bruce Guyton officiating.
Visitation is today, from 3 – 6 p.m. from Carter's Mortuary Services Chapel.

Devin Rajon Mitchell, age 16, passed away Sunday, Jan. 1, 2012, at North Mississippi Medical Center of Tupelo.
Funeral services are Sunday, Jan. 8, 2012, at 2 p.m. from Calvary Baptist Church in Starkville, with Pastor Maggie Little officiating. Burial will follow in New Bethel Cemetery in Maben.
Visitation is Saturday, Jan. 7, 2012, from 4 – 7 p.m. at Bryan Union Hall Local #1991, in West Point.
