Jasper Eugene Lummus Sr.
Jasper Eugene Lummus Sr., age 78, died Sunday, Aug. 14, 2011, at his home in Greenwood, Miss. (Money, Miss.)
Visitation is 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. with the funeral services following, Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2011, at 2 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, in Columbus, Miss. Burial will follow at Double Springs cemetery in Maben, Miss., at 4 p.m.

Connie (Gray) Fulgham
Connie (Gray) Fulgham, 89, formerly of South Mercer Street, Berwick, died Friday, August 12, 2011, at Berwick Retirement Village, I.
Born October 22, 1921, in Monroe County, Mississippi, she was the daughter of the late William T. and Mary Gray.
During World War II, Connie worked in a shell manufacturing plant in Mississippi, until she moved north where she worked at the Berwick Cigar Plan, from which she retired in 1983.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Berwick and the Berwick Chapter of the Eastern Star, #228.
Jo Gillespie
Jo Gillespie, age 73, passed away, Monday, August 15, 2011, at her home, in West Point. Jo Ellen
Roberts Gillespie was born November 2, 1937, in Pontotoc, Miss. to the late Irene Tutor and Edgar Roberts. She was a Machine Operator at West Point Casket Company and most recently as a court bailiff for the Clay County Sheriff Department and was a member of West End Baptist Church. Jo Roberts Gillespie married Glenn Gillespie on April 24, 1954, in Pontotoc, he preceded her on December 9, 2006.

Bertha A. Dill
Bertha A. Dill, age 89, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2011 at West Point Community Living Center.
Bertha A. Dill was born Nov. 17, 1921, in Oktibbeha County to the late Ethel Mullins and Tommy Lee Adams. She was the former owner of Dill Nursing Home and a member of VFW Ladies Auxiliary and a member of First Baptist Church of West Point.
Graveside Services are 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 12, 2011, at West Point Memorial Gardens, with the Rev. Dale Funderburg officiating.
Visitation is Friday, 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at Robinson Funeral Home.

Bonnie Williams Farley, age 61, passed away, Thursday, Aug. 4, 2011, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo.

Queen Ester Walker
Queen Ester Walker, age 66, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2011, at her home.
Funeral services are Saturday, Aug. 6, 2011, at 11 a.m. from Carter's Mortuary Chapel, with Dr. Willie B. Lairy officiating.
Burial will follow in Shady Grove Abbott Cemetery.
Visitation is today, from 3 – 6 p.m. at Carter's Mortuary Services Chapel.
Carter's Mortuary Services is in charge of arrangements.

James Earl Macon
James Earl Macon, age 61, passed away Wednesday, July 27, 2011, at his home.
Funeral services are Friday, Aug. 5, 2011, at 11 a.m. from Carter's Mortuary Chapel, with the Rev. Foote officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
Visitation is today, at Carter's Mortuary Services Chapel from 3 – 6 p.m.
Carter's Mortuary Services is in charge of arrangements.
Meredith Perry Blanks
Meredith Perry Blanks, age 85, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2011, at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo.
Funeral services are Saturday, Aug. 6, 2011, at 11 a.m. at Mt. Hermon M.B. Church. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
Family hour is Friday, Aug. 5, 2011, from 5 – 6 p.m. at Carter Funeral Home.

Charles H. Ballard
Charles H. Ballard, age 68, passed away, July 30, 2011, at North Mississippi Medical Center-West Point.
Charles H. Ballard was born Sept. 1, 1942, in Sturgis, Miss., to the late Fannie Mae and Lester Ballard.
He was a member of East End Baptist Church in Columbus, Miss., and a Veteran of the U.S. Navy. He married Alice Faye Hodge Jan. 24, 1969, at the family home in Sturgis, Miss. He worked for Purolator and more recently, nine years for Columbus Brick.

Mary Simmons Taylor
Mary Simmons Taylor, age 84, passed away, July 13, 2011, at the Dugan Memorial Home in West Point.
Mary Simmons Taylor was born Feb. 15, 1927, in Clay County, Miss., to the late Susie Mae Myers and Ralph W. Simmons. She was a Laboratory Technician and a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
There will be no funeral services. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of arrangements. Her remains were donated to the University of Mississippi Medical Center, Jackson.
