Betty Jane Temple
Betty Jane Temple, age 77, passed away Friday, Oct. 21, 2011, at North Mississippi Medical Center in West Point.
Funeral services are today, Thursday, Oct. 27, 2011, at 11 a.m. from Third Mt. Olive M.B. Church, with the Rev. Al Lathan Sr., officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.

Bertha Mae “NIG” Mosley
Bertha Mae Mosley, age 90, passed away Saturday, Oct. 22, 2011, at her home.
Funeral services are Saturday, Ocr. 29, 2011, at 11 a.m. from Johnson Creek M.B. Church, with the Rev. Bruce H. Guyton officiating. Burial will follow in Johnson CreeK M.B. Church Cemetery.
Visitation is Friday, Oct. 28, 2011, from 3 – 6 p.m. at Carter's Mortuary Services Chapel.

Wayne Clements
Wayne Clements, 73, passed away, on Monday, October 17, 2011, at the West Point Community Living Center in West Point.
Robert Wayne Clements was born October 22, 1937, in Clay County, Mississippi, to the late Maudie Lee Morgan and George Robert Clements. He was a retired Machinist for Babcock and Wilcox Company for 37 years. Mr. Clements was a member of Church of Christ-East Columbus. Robert Wayne Clements married Janette Doss Hamblin Clements September 13, 1986, in Clay County.

Mary Ann Dahlem Beckwith
Mary Ann Dahlem Beckwith, age 64, passed away, Thursday, Oct. 13, 2011, at Community Hospice, in Verona, Miss. Mary Ann Beckwith was born June 14, 1947, in Aberdeen, Miss., to the late Eva Lee Willis Mask Dahlem and Collie Kristopher Dahle. Mrs. Beckwith worked on the support staff as a secretary for Watkins, Ward Stafford CPA, from July 1982 until Aug., 2011, and was of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Beckwith was a graduating member of the Class of 1965 at Aberdeen High School. She loved her cats and dogs.

Doris Bowen
Doris Bowen, age 84, passed away Monday, Oct. 10, 2011, in West Point.
Doris Bowen was born Sept. 30, 1927, to Lonnie “Lon” Brewer and Esther Wehrman Brewer in Aberdeen. She lived most of her life in Aberdeen and fifteen years in West Point. Mrs. Bowen graduated from Wren High School. She retired after 31 years as a switch board operator and receptionist at Bryan Foods and she also worked as a telephone operator. Mrs. Bowen was a member of Aberdeen First Baptist Church.
Helen Mahadai Jagnandan
Helen Mahadai Jagnandan, age 84, entered into rest Saturday, Oct. 9, 2011, at University Hospital of Augusta, Ga.
Funeral services are Saturday, October 15, 2011, at 11 a.m. at Reid Memorial Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Paul Sherwood officiating.
Visitation is Friday, Oct. 14, 2011, from 6-8 p.m. at Thomas Poteet & Son Funeral Directors of Augusta, Ga.

Wakeelah Walker, age 30, passed away Saturday, Oct. 1, 2011, at her home.
Funeral services are Thursday, Oct. 6, 2011, at 2 p.m. from Union Star M.B. Church, with the Rev. James Alvin Richardson officiating. Burial will follow in Union Star Church Cemetery.
Visitation is today, from 3 – 6 p.m. at Carter's Mortuary Services Chapel.

Nab James Davis Gladney
Nab James Davis Gladney, age 83, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2011, at his home.
Funeral services are today, Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2011, at noon from Johnson Creek M.B. Church, with the Bishop Lawrence White officiating.

Marie Norman
Marie Norman, age 98, passed away, Sunday, Oct.2, 2011, at the Baptist Health Systems Medical Center in Jackson. Marie Norman was born Sept. 21, 1913 in Lyman, to the late Edda Dickson Norman and Lonnie Norman. Miss. Norman was a Office Manager for Bryan Foods-Sara Lee for 40 years, retiring in 1975. She was a member of First United Methodist Church.
Graveside funeral services are today, Tuesday, October 4, 2011, at 2 p.m. in Greenwood Cemetery with the Rev. Jeff Shannon officiating. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of arrangements.
James Allan “Rocky” Holliday
James Allan “Rocky” Holliday, age 75, died Saturday, Oct. 1, 2011, at his residence in Columbus. Funeral services are today, Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2011, at 1 p.m. at First United Methodist Church with Dr. Sam Morris and the Rev. Tony Proctor officiating. Burial will follow at Palo Alto Cemetery in Clay County.
