Neil Blansett
Neil Blansett, 73, passed away, Friday, March 18, 2011, at his home in Pheba. Neil Blansett was born May 16, 1937, in Clay County, to the late Sallie Liza Russell Blansett and Ollie M. Blansett. He was a Panel Welder for Babcock and Wilcox Company for 30 years and a member of Hebron Baptist Church. Omar Neil Blansett married Barbara Watson June 12, 1959, at Pheba.

Joseph Joshua Stevens Jr.
Joseph Joshua Stevens Jr., age 71, died on March 14, 2011, after a brave battle with cancer. Joshua Stevens Jr. was born March 13, 1940, in Mobile, Ala., to Joseph J. Stevens and Anna Mae “Bootsie” Smith Stevens.
Rena Cunningham
Rena Cunningham, age 80, passed away, Saturday, March 12, 2011, at the Dugan Memorial Home, in West Point.
Rena Guest Cunningham was born Dec. 1, 1930, in Greenwood, Miss., to the late Polly Ann Mims Guest and Howard Erskins Guest. Mrs. Cunningham was a seamstress at Knickerbocker and later Big Yank for 30 years. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Rena Mae Guest Cunningham was married Erle C. Cunningham, who predeceased her Nov. 8, 1974.

Lula Mae Bell, age 71, passed away Wednesday, March 9, 2011, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, Miss.
Funeral services are Tuesday, March 15, 2011, at 1 p.m. from Strong Hill M.B. Church, with the Rev. Israel Lee officiating. Burial will follow in Strong Hill M.B. Church Cemetery.
Visitation is Monday, March 14, 2011, from 3 – 6 p.m. at Carter's Mortuary Services Chapel.

James C. Myatt, age 55, died unexpectedly Tuesday, March 8, 2011, near Mobile, Ala. Born Sept. 11, 1955, in Amory, Miss., he was a son of the late Geraldine Adams and Purvis C. Myatt, Jr.

Debra Denise Lee - Wynn, age 44, passed away Sunday, March 6, 2011, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle.
Funeral services are Saturday, March 12, 2011, at 3 p.m. from St. Robertson M.B. Church, with Rev. J.P. Orr officiating. Burial will follow in Hopewell M.B. Church Cemetery.

Essie B, Mattix, age 77, passed away Sunday, March 6, 2011, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, Miss.
Funeral services are Friday, March 11, 2011, at 11 a.m. from St. Paul M.B. Church, the Rev. Hosea Hines, Rcv, Tommy Cox and the Rev. Eddie Longstreet will deliver words of comfort, Burial will follow in Memorial Garden Cemetery.

Annie Ruth Phelps
Annie Ruth Phelps, age 95, passed away, Monday, March 7, 2011, at the Shearer Richardson Memorial Home, in Okolona, Miss.
Mrs. Phelps was born Nov. 25, 1915, in Woodland, Miss., to the late Dollie Staggs Criddle and Ell Criddle. She was a homemaker and a member of Arbor Grove Baptist Church. Annie Ruth Criddle Phelps married George Emerson Phelps Nov. 25, 1935, in Chickasaw County. He predeceased her May 28, 2004.
