James Allen Gallant Jr.
James Allen Gallant Jr., age 74, passed away Sunday, Sept. 11, 2011, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo.
Funeral services were Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2011, at 2 p.m. from the Marion County Funeral Home. Burial followed in Bethel Church of Christ Cemetery of Vernon Ala., with Military Honors and Masonic Rites.
Marion County Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Stanley Mack Smith, 48, passed away, Monday, September 12, 2011, at his home in Aberdeen.
Stanley Mack Smith was born April 6, 1963 in Jackson, Mississippi Arnell Doster Smith and to the late Billy Mack Smith.
He was formerly a Salesman for Budget Rental in West Point and of the Baptist faith.
Funeral services will be Thursday, September 15, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. from Calvert Funeral Home Chapel with E. Scott
Allen officiating, assisted by Bro. Tyler Higginbotham. Burial will follow in Howell Cemetery in the Athens Community

Edna Lois Dill, 87, passed away, Friday, September 9, 2011 at her home, in Pheba. Edna Lois Dill
was born April 10, 1924 in Pickens, Alabama to the late Cora Lee Rickman and Martin Lewis Jaynes. She was a
Seamstress at Monte Glove for 34 years and a member of Pheba Baptist Church. Edna Lois Jaynes Dill married Lemuel Ethel Dill April 9, 1942, in Clay County, he preceded her on November 27, 1964.
Funeral services will be Sunday, September 11, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. from Calvert Funeral Home Chapel with the

Graveside services for infant twin girls, Maegen and Mackenzie Harrison-Edwards were held Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2011, at noon from Greenwood Cemetery with the Rev. Tim Brinkley officiating.
Zayne Atkins
Zayne Atkins, 27 days old, passed away, Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2011, at the North Mississippi Medical Center Womens Hospital, in Tupelo.
Zayne Alexander Atkins was born Aug. 10, 2011, in West Point to Tammala Lancaster Smith and Robert Atkins. He was of the Catholic faith.
Graveside funeral services are Saturday, Sept. 10, 2011, at 2 p.m. at the Memorial Garden Cemetery with the Rev. Tony Proctor officiating. Burial will follow. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of arrangements.
Bennie Will Oats
Bennie Will Oats, age 60, passed away Sunday, Sept. 4, 2011, at North Mississippi Medical Center in West Point.
Funeral services are Friday, Sept. 9, 2011, at 11 a.m. from Northside Christian Church, with the Minister Renae Spight-Ballard officiating. Burial will follow in Red Hill Cemetery in Ackerman.
Visitation is today, from 3 – 6 p.m. at Carter's Mortuary Services Chapel.

Thomas Lee Carpenter
Tom Carpenter, 73, passed away, Monday, September 5, 2011, at his residence near Starkville.
Thomas Lee Carpenter was born June 30, 1938, in Webster County to the late Martha Myrtle Dunn and Charles Benford
Carpenter. Mr. Tom was a Bridge Builder; he retired and as a Superintendent. He also owned and operated Ideal
Concrete Company. He was a member of Artesia Baptist Church and was a Member of the Adelphian Lodge #174 F.& A.
M. in Eupora. He was also a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mason. Tom Carpenter married Bertha Mae Palmer Carpenter

Rubert L. Staten
Rubert L. Staten, age 78, passed away, Aug. 31, 2011, at the Regency Hospital in Jackson.
Rubert Lawson Staten was born June 30, 1933, in the Una community of Clay County to the late Myrtle Lawson Staten and Dilworth Staten. He began working at Bryan Foods, then later with the Mississippi Department of Agriculture as a Meat Inspector for 35 years until retiring in 1995. Mr. Staten was a member of Griffith Christian Church. He was a Veteran of U. S. Army having served during the Korean War. Rubert Lawson Staten was married to Frances Ivy Staten

Patricia Ann Rambus Randle, age 51, passed away Friday, Aug. 26, 2011, at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson.
Funeral services are Friday, Sept. 2, 2011, at 1 p.m. from Pleasant Grove Poole's M.B. Church, with the Rev. James A. Richardson Sr., officiating. Burial will follow in Poole's Memorial Gardens.
Visitation is today from 3 – 6 p.m. at Carter's Mortuary Services Chapel.
