Robert David Hemphill was born Dec. 1, 1955, in West Point, Miss., to Arthur Robert Hemphill and the late Mary Ruth Bedford Hemphill. He was a truck driver and a member of First Baptist Church. Robert David Hemphill married Tobie Brown Hemphill June 24, 1976, in West Point, Miss.
