Dee L. Rhea
Dee L. Rhea, age 87, passed away Monday, Nov. 21, 2011, at North Mississippi Medical
Center in West Point.
Dee L. Rhea was born Jan. 25, 1924, in Hickory Flat, to the late Rosie May Ausburn and Thomas Jefferson Rhea. He worked in Maintenance for the TXI United Cement Company in Artesia, then after he retired he worked part time in Maintenance at NMMC-West Point. Mr. Rhea was a member of West Point Church of God. Dee L. Rhea married Frances Louise Smith on April 15, 1944, in Houston.

Lillian Grace McMullin Moore
Lillian Grace McMullin Moore, age 73, died Thursday, Nov. 17, 2011, at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo.
She was born Nov. 30, 1937, in Pheba, to Noel McMullin and Mona Lou Spears McMullin. She was a member of First Assembly of God.
Funeral services were 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 19, 2011, at Memorial Funeral Home in Houston, with Bro. William Frasier and Bro. D.W. McGee officiating. Burial followed at Pheba Cemetery. Memorial Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Virginia Bock
Virginia Bock, age 88, passed away Friday, Nov. 18, 2011 at the home of her niece Dorothy Cole.
She was born April 3, 1923, in West Point, to the late Hattie Bell Stroud and Tony Bock Sr. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church and was retired from Big Yank and Knickerbocker.
Funeral services were 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 20, 2011, at Robinson Chapel with the Rev. Mike Smith officiating. Burial followed in Greenwood Cemetery.
Martin Gibbs
Martin Gibbs, age 66, passed away Friday, Nov. 11, 2011, at University Hospital in Chicago, Ill.
Funeral services were Saturday, Nov. 19, 2011, at 11 a.m. from Trio Primitive Baptist Church, with Elder Barry Huddleston officiating. Burial followed in Trio Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
Carter's Mortuary Services was in charge of arrangements.
Patrice Manya Tucker Owens
Patrice Manya Tucker Owens, age 36, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2011, at University of Alabama-Birmingham Hospital.
Funeral services are Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2011, at 11 a.m. from The Church, with Pastor Michael Cannon officiating. Burial will follow in Poole's Memorial Gardens.
Visitation is Monday, Nov. 21, 2011, from 3 – 6 p.m. at Carter's Mortuary Services Chapel.

Mary K. Keel, born July, 26, 1934, to the late Ramond Marston Kirkwood and Irene Burns Kirkwood, passed away peacefully in her sleep Friday, Nov. 11, 2011, at her home in Paragould, Ark. She was preceded in death by her sister, Joyce Kirkwood Scott. She retired from AmSouth Bank in Birmingham. Ala. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Paragould, Ark.
Doris Pate Champion
Doris Pate Champion, age 77, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2011, at Dugan Memorial Home in West Point.
Doris Elba Champion was born Aug. 30, 1934, in Webster County to the late Edna Trull Pate and John Wesley Pate. Mrs. Champion worked in bookkeeping and customer Service for Renasant and earlier the Peoples Bank for 19 years. She was a member of Old Aberdeen Road Church of Christ Family. Doris Pate Champion married Bobby Joe Champion April 16, 1954, in the Irish Colony of Clay County.

Larry Gene Britt, age 56, of Lenoir City, Tenn., passed away Saturday, Nov. 12, 2011, at his home.

Gail Montgomery-Yukon
Gail Montgomery-Yukon passed away Thursday, Nov. 3, 2011, after a long series of illnesses.
Gail Montgomery-Yukon was born 65 years ago in West Point. She is lovingly remembered by her husband of 35 years, Ron Yukon, as well as countless people around the country who knew her as a friend, mentor, counselor and teacher. She is also survived by her brothers: Roger L. Montgomery (Paulette) of Pascagoula, and Pete Montgomery (Libby) of West Point; seven nieces and nephews, and seven great nieces.
Roy Lee Elliot
Roy Lee Elliot, age 59, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2011, at Park Ridge Medical Center in Chattanooga, Tenn.
Funeral services are Monday, Nov. 14, 2011, at 11 a.m. from Pilgrim Grove M.B. Church, with the Rev. Robert Shamlin-Traylor officiating. Burial will follow in Muldrow Baptist Church Cemetery in Starkville.
Visitation is Sunday, Nov. 13, 2011, from 2 – 5 p.m. at Carter's Mortuary Services Chapel.
