Myrtle Langley Rutherford
Myrtle Langley Rutherford, age 88, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2010, at North Mississippi Medical Center in West Point, Miss.
Mrs. Rutherford was born Oct. 5, 1922, to the late Frank and Ella Alford Langley of Thorn, Miss.
Survivors include her husband, Bob Rutherford of West Point, Miss.; two sisters: Evelyn Miller and Annie Applewhite both of West Point, Miss.; a step-daughter, Bobbie Hadley of Alpharetta, Ga.; and special nieces: Betty McCoy and Jewell Cartwright.
Mrs. Rutherford was preceded in death by five sisters and three brothers.

Miriam Dexter Ivy
Miriam Ivy went to be with the Lord on Monday, Nov. 22, 2010, in Ludlow Miss., at the age of 94.
Funeral services are today, Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2010, at 1 p.m. at Robinson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. M.L. Wallace officiating. Visitation is from 11 a.m. until service time at Robinson Funeral Home.
Menre Collins Jr.
Menre Collins Jr., age 62, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2010, at West Point Community Living Center.
Funeral services are Friday, Nov. 26, 2010, at 11 a.m. from Carter's Mortuary Services Chapel, with the Rev. Homer Cannon officiating.
In lieu of visitation the Guest Registry Book may be signed on Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2010, from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Carter's Mortuary Services is in charge of arrangements.

Louise Whitt Elliott
Louise Whitt Elliott, age 88, passed away, Thursday, Nov. 18, 2010, at the North Miss. Medical Center of West Point. Louise Whitt Elliott was born April 12, 1922, in Chickasaw County Miss., to the late Pearl Nolan Whitt and Braxton Braggs Whitt. She was a homemaker and a member of Siloam Baptist Church. Louise Whitt Elliott married Charles Hill Elliott Sr. Feb. 3, 1940, in Columbus, who predeceased her on Dec. 8, 2000.
Elizabeth “Libby" Weddle Bedford
Elizabeth “Libby” Weddle Bedford, died November 12, 2010, in Kingwood, Texas, at the age of 89.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, John Lyle Bedford. She is survived by her three children: John Lyle Bedford and his wife Sharon of Corpus Christi, Texas, Emily Elizabeth Bedford Schepens and her husband James of Kingwood, Texas, and Paula Ruth Bedford also of Kingwood, Texas.

Matthew Willis McDonald
Matthew Willis McDonald, age 15. passed away Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2010.
Funeral services are Sunday, Nov. 21, 2010, at 2 p.m. from Johnson Creek M.B. Church in Pheba, with interment immediately following.
Visitation is Saturday, Nov. 20, 2010, from 2 – 2:30 p.m. at St. Andrew A.M.E. Church in Memphis, Tenn., with a memorial service at 2:30.
Virginia Bailey Prisock
Virginia Bailey Prisock, age 81, passed away Thursday, Nov. 18, 2010, at her home in Starkville.
Mrs. Prisock was a homemaker and a life long member of First Baptist Church in Starkville, where she was a member of the Joy Sunday School class. She was also a member of the Magnolia Garden Club.
She was preceded in death by her husband. Donald Lee Prisock Jr.
Bessie Tina Johnson
Bessie Tina Johnson, age 68, passed away Saturday, Nov. 13, 2010, in Monroe County.
Funeral services are Saturday, Nov. 20, 2010, at 11 a.m. from Kingdom Hall in Columbus, with Bro. Casey Watson officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens in West Point.
Family Hour for visitation is today from 5 - 7 p.m. at West Memorial Funeral Home in Starkville.

Clarence Speed
Clarence Speed, age 57, passed away Monday, Nov. 8, 2010, at his home.
Funeral services are today, Thursday, Nov. 18, 2010, at 11 a.m. from Union Baptist M.B. Church, with the Rev. Mike Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Union Baptist M.B. Church Cemetery.

Mary Jo Ann Wright Gilreath
Mary Jo Ann Wright Gilreath, age 71, passed away Saturday, Nov. 13, 2010, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo.
Funeral services were Monday, Nov. 15, 2010, at 2 p.m from Bethel Baptist Church with Bro. R.D. Cline and Bro. Robert Earl Fowlkes officiating. Burial followed in Lebanon Cemetery.
