Katy is an 8 week old, female, tabby kitten. She is very tiny and sweet. Katy loves to be held and cuddled. She has another three siblings who also need homes. The West Point/Clay County Animal Shelter is at capacity with kittens, puppies and dogs. If you are interested in adopting Katy or any of the kittens, puppies and dogs, come by the shelter Tuesday – Friday 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. Saturday 10 a.m. - noon, or call 524-4430. Foster homes are needed to socialize dogs and especially puppies for the Homeward Bound Program. Two weeks with a loving family will help a dog find a home in another state.
The Groove Club, from Nashville, Tennessee, brought music, dancing, magic and a “Beary” big surprise to the Bryan Public Library’s Summer Reading Program Tuesday.
The girls in the tutu’s had everyone singing and dancing, moving and grooving. The duo sang songs about teddy bears before changing the subject to frogs and had the audience hopping along.
Kids came in pajamas, brought blankets and stuffed animals, while a few of the girls were decked out like the Groove Club performers in tutu’s.
