Jones: Notes from a gullible skeptic

January 9, 2013

I was born a skeptic. The weather man says it will snow and I scoff because frankly, it typically only snows when there has been no mention of it in the forecast.
The guy from the “Guvment” says he’s here to help and I let out a unladylike hoot, because we all know that’s unlikely.
But on the road to skepticism I’ve had to pass through the valley ofgullibility which materializes when I hear about something healthy that is also fun and tasty.

problems.
Fatigue is a common symptom of many illnesses, including diabetes, heart disease, arthritis, anemia, thyroid disease, and sleep apnea. Talk to your doctor if you feel unusually tired.

Local men’s group to address community needs at Saturday meeting

January 7, 2013

The Town Creek Square Apartment complex has been a thorn in the side of West Point law enforcement for some time.
In early August, West Point Police Chief Tim Brinkley called upon management at the complex to get unruly tenants and their guests under control.
While many of the immediate problems have been addressed, the systemic problems, which affect the youth of the community, still persist.
