There will be a very important community training seminar in Starkville one week from today.
Attendance from West Pointâ€™s community leaders could lead to a significant impact on poverty and the townâ€™s economy.
â€śBridges out of Povertyâ€ť is an organization that has taught communities that benefits and effectiveness of empowering those in poverty rather than just writing checks to different charities.
Lynn Phillips-Gaines spoke to the West Point Rotary Club last week about the â€śBridgesâ€ť program and the impact it has had on Starkville.
Friends of the Library held their fourth Valentine Bake Sale at the Bryan Public Library Thursday. Goodies galore, cakes pies, cookies, brownies and all sorts of sweet treats were for sale.
