Edwards, Davenport Engagement
Mrs. Earline Edwards of West Point, is pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of her daughter, Yolanda A. Edwards, daughter of the late James Monroe Edwards Sr., to Wavie C. Davenport Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Wavie C. Davenport Sr., of Prairie.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Willie and LeAnna Gibson and the late Aaron and Essie Edwards.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Clara and Jerry Castle of West Point, Nan Ricket of Columbus, and James Lee Stafford of West Point.
She holds an Associate's degree in Elementary Education and is continuing her education at Mississippi University for Women.
She is currently employed with Carl Hogan Automotive.

Parker Selected for Governor's School
Zane Parker III, has been selected to participate in the 2011 session of the Mississippi's Governor's School. The Governor's School is a residential honors program established in 1981 by Governor William F. Winter at Mississippi University for Women. The Governor's School is designed to provide academic, creative and leadership experiences for a limited number of high school juniors and seniors who have demonstrated exceptional ability and achievement in their studies and who show high intellectual, creative and leadership potential.
Braxtynn Rain Pruitt
Marlon and Laquante Pruitt of West Point, are proud to announce the birth of their daughter, Baxtynn Rain Pruitt, April 22, 2011, at North Mississippi Medical Center of West Point. Time of birth was 8:57 a.m., she weighed 6 pounds 11 ounces and was 20 inches long.
Maternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Rufus Sanders and Ms. Dorothy Harris.
Paternal grandparents are Mrs. Wilderdean Pruitt and the late George Pruitt.
Great-grandparent is Shead Trimuel.
Welcoming home Braxtynn Rain is Cameron age 9.
The mother is the former Laquante Sanders.
