BREAKING: Supervisors suspend night meeting vote

The Clay County Board of Supervisors elected Monday to suspend a previous vote, which moved four of the county's board meetings — one per month for the next four months — to evening time slots.

The initial purpose of the vote was to allow Clay County residents who work during daylight hours an opportunity to view Supervisors' meetings without being forced to take off work. The meetings are presently held at 9 a.m. the first Monday and Thursday of each month, and were scheduled to be held at 5:30 p.m. the fourth Thursday of each month until Monday's vote.
