An Oktibbeha County Sheriff's Department investigation is ongoing to determine what caused an early Sunday morning nightclub shooting that injured five people.
OCSD Commander Brett Watson said deputes responded to a shooting incident at Club Rock on Rockhill Road, north of Starkville, at 2:22 a.m. Sunday. He said five victims were injured, one critically, in the shooting, which occurred in the night club's parking lot.
OCSD would not identify the victims injured in Sunday's shooting.

The West Point Board of Selectmen accepted a bid for four new circuit breakers for the Bryan electric substation during a special-called meeting Friday at City Hall in West Point.
The board accepted the bid from Garner Lumley Electric Supply in Hattiesburg and the cost of the circuit breakers will be $89,128.
West Point Chief Administrative Officer Randy Jones said normally expect the price on those to come between $22,000 and $24,000 each and that the cost of these circuit breakers was on the lower end.

Seafood lovers rejoice. The site for the new Captain D's on Highway 45 South in West Point is being prepared for construction to begin. The target opening for the restaurant is July, according to Keith McBrayer, one of the owners of the West Point Captain D's. Heavy equipment is rolling in and the property is being staked for clearing and construction.
