Suspect involved in 2011 assault case still at large

West Point Police Department investigators always keep their ears to the ground for new leads in old cases.
At about 2:28 a.m. June 5, 2011, officers responded to a call made by a patient at the West Point North Mississippi Medical Center, who told officers that he was the victim of an assault.

Kroger: Rumor hurting morale

Rumors that the local Kroger retail outlet is prepping for closure have zipped about West Point. But are the rumors new, or are they rather simply rehashed?
According to Megan Habel, Kroger front end supervisor, rumors of a possible branch closure are nothing new.
