New cases keep investigators on toes

West Point Police Department (WPPD) investigators have a fresh set of cases on the record book. Investigators are working diligently to identify suspects in a February armed robbery as well the theft of an outdoor air conditioning unit.
A about 10:50 p.m. Feb. 7, WPPD officers responded to the 800 block of 6th Street in response to a possible armed robbery.
According to WPPD Chief of Investigations, two individuals were seated in a vehicle outside as they prepared to leave a residence.
