WPFD becoming more acquainted with EOC capabilities

Amidst the first moments following the initial strike of a catastrophic event, law enforcement and emergency response personnel are required to think without brevity whilst conducting themselves in accordance with the circumstance at hand. In a disaster situation, there is no room for pauses, and the staff at the West Point Fire Department has worked diligently to familiarize themselves with their new Emergency Operation Center (EOC) to beef up response time and thoroughness.

McGee honored with DARE award

West Point Police Department Drug Abuse Resistant Program (DARE) Officer Zate McGee makes it a point to keep in close contact with the community's youth. McGee's commitment to serving the younger populace in the city has been officially recognized by the Memphis, Tenn. DARE offices as a result of her unwavering devotion to providing assistance and knowledge to impressionable children.
