City discusses Zuber Park enhancements

Take a ride down Highway 45 Alternate South, look to your left and you’ll find one of West Point’s city parks lacking the enhancements it needs to attract more patrons for recreational activities.
The very look of Zuber Park and it’s lack of colorful playground equipment has been the topic of discussion around West Point for quite some time, and Tuesday night the issue came before the West Point Board of Mayor and Selectmen once again.

Prairie Arts Festival drawing near again

With the Prairie Arts Festival just two weeks away the volunteers that help make this event the success it is are hard at work.
The Prairie Arts Festival committee has been meeting every week working on the details and getting ready for approximately 300 vendors that will descend on West Point Labor Day weekend.

Business owner proposes two-hour parking on Main

It seems that over the last 12 months or so, at least four new businesses have opened up along East Main Street, making the demand for parking on Main Street much higher than it was two or three years ago.
With more businesses downtown comes more customers, and with limited parking on Main Street, where are customers to go?
