Ward’s latest work a compendium of East Mississippi history

There is not a piece of Rufus Ward’s 1869 West Point home that is without some historical significance.
Whether it’s the living room rocker that sits below a family portrait which dates back to the U.S. Civil War, a book or a simple mantel piece, every piece that decorates the Ward home has a story to tell.
That is the nature of Ward’s writing as well.

CTC Construction program could lead directly to jobs

The drills were loud, and the hammers were ringing nails into freshly cut wood on Wednesday morning. The West Point School District Career and Technology Center sounded like a construction site, and in effect it really was.
Students from the CTC’s Construction class were putting together a shelving project that is part of the application stage of the program’s first-year class.
